My Professional Background

I am a Senior Systemic and Family Psychotherapist with extensive experience working at the Maudsley Hospital Eating Disorders Service in London. Over the past six years there, I have contributed to both inpatient and outpatient units, and served as Team Lead for the Day-care Service, helping to develop clinical services and supervise other professionals. A key part of my work focuses on family involvement in eating disorder treatment.

Specialist Roles and Teaching

I am also a member of the FREED team, where I supervise and develop a team delivering Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FT-AN) to young adults. In this role, I have provided training nationally, including at international eating disorder conferences and specialized courses such as MANTRA, EDSA, and PEACE Pathway.

My expertise extends to working with people experiencing eating disorders and autism, contributing to the book 'Supporting Autistic People With Eating Disorders' (edited by Kate Tchanturia).

In addition, I teach and supervise systemic psychotherapy trainees at King’s College London, supporting the next generation of therapists.

Training and Consultancy

Outside of the NHS, I deliver training to local authority social work teams on systemic practice, focusing on developing skills in risk management and reflexivity.

From 2011 to 2019, I worked extensively in specialist adoption services across the public, NHS, and private sectors. My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic and systemic theory, particularly around attachment and trauma. I have been trained in Story Stem, Theraplay, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, training with leading experts including Dan Hughes and teams at PAC-UK and Family Futures.

I also contributed to the development of the Adoption Support Fund for the Department for Education (DfE), promoting equitable access to therapy for adopted people throughout the UK.

Podcast: The Systemic Lens

As a creative outlet, I join “The Systemic Lens” podcast, where systemic psychotherapists explore media and culture through a therapeutic lens. We review films such as The Wizard of Oz, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Encanto.

My Story

I grew up in South London and have lived across the UK, as well as in Konstanz, Paris, and Brussels. Now, I am happily settled in London, where I live a peaceful life with my partner and our young son.

I deeply value the rich diversity of culture, values, and perspectives that London offers. This inspires me to remain open-minded and curious about the experiences of others, which is central to my therapeutic approach.

From Social Work to Systemic Psychotherapy

In 2011, I trained as a social worker and specialised in adoption support. I worked with individuals and families affected by adoption — helping those seeking to grow their families, building attachment bonds during and after adoption, supporting those who experienced loss, and supporting adults who had been adopted.

This formative work laid the foundation for my development as a Systemic Psychotherapist. I believe that early emotional experiences shape how we see the world, relate to others, and understand our unique place in it. My therapy work honours this perspective, focusing on healing through connection and understanding.

Continuous Learning and Specialisation

While I loved my social work career, I have always been committed to developing my skills through ongoing education, experience, and self-reflection. This journey led me to train as a Systemic Psychotherapist and gain specialist expertise in supporting individuals, couples, and families.

Over the years, I have been privileged to help hundreds of clients improve their mental and physical wellbeing, building more fulfilling and satisfying lives.

My Therapeutic Approach

Today, my practice is centred on helping you discover where you want to go — and working together to find the path to get there. I bring compassion, empathy, motivation, and belief into our work, creating a collaborative space for self-discovery, healing, and growth.
